Great read here by John Hattie and what defines the thinking habits of 'great teachers'. Loved this one -- lots of take aways. edutopia.org/article/great-…

Asking “why didn’t you do that?” is judgmental. Asking “how can I support?” is supportive. Be the #leader you wish to be led. #edchat

Effective teachers don't focus so much on rules, but more on relationships, routines, & expectations. If you focus mainly on rules, you will spend most of the year enforcing them. But if you focus on relationships, routines, & expectations, you rarely have to defer back to rules.

@PhD_Genie The journey is not for the smartest ones. But for those who are curious, preserve and dare to be a loner.

If teachers are losing the drive to do more, sometimes it can be the #leaders have failed to provide the right environment for them to be lifted and continued to be inspired. #educhat

Interesting keynote address this morning from John Collick. He feels we cannot control the students' cyberspace. We should then emphasise more to them self-awareness and metacognition when navigating in the cyber world. #edutech_asia

Imagine what our world would be like if we stop giving bonuses only for output, and start also giving bonuses for quality.

When #mentoring experienced educators, it is more motivational for the mentees when mentors position the journey as opportunities for grow and learning together, rather than working on their gaps for improvement. #edchat
