Yes, the core of the Keeta Network node is a stateless processing system that relies on modules for managing persistence. It is implemented as a library so that the application that is deployed can be configured to incorporate whatever the environment has can be utilized efficiently.

@yourpal @Nsimba_X @xescure To oversimplify, it seems like you're describing some form of stateless instance scaling with shared data store? Correct me if I'm wrong. Is this something already implemented in Keeta?

Nano XNO is still the most scalable cryptocurrency I've seen. And sadly it's not even close. I have yet to come across another that I believe will be capable of scaling to global demand. This is not a good thing.

I think there's a fundamental misunderstand that horizontal scaling requires sharding. The Keeta Network does not rely on any kind of sharding for scalability. There is an underlying insight that I think we can agree on -- the key to scaling systems is careful state management. The Keeta Network protocol is specifically designed to make it easy for Nodes ("logical nodes" as referred to above) to distribute the work among many stateless systems ("physical nodes" as referred to above), each talking to a shared database of some kind. The database system is responsible for managing coherence of its owns state internally, but in general the Keeta Network node software is careful to only touch the things specifically mentioned in the blocks it is processing within a single transaction, avoiding deadlocks in an MVCC DB or retries in a OCC DB. I think the best way to look at it is through a diagram, and the attached is the best I've been able to come up with so far -- but it doesn't capture all the nuance. I hope this helps, but I'm always open to trying to explain more about what we're doing !

As MJ already said, if you are going to compartimentalize the network you are adding friction for participants on different shards. You would need extra consensus for each shard to agree on their (shared?) ledger and also individually. A ledger needs a global state no? It doesnt sound viable for scaling to me.
