i think the beauty of the goddess archetype is it needs no guidebooks, it’s simply the natural next step once you’ve processed the grief and rage of seeing the world for what it truly is as a woman. once you see it and choose to become ungovernable as a response to it, you’ve stepped into the archetype. a goddess generates her own energy and responds only to self. she curates her life, her experiences, her boundaries, and her spiritual practices with the ultimate goal of nurturing herself through fire, devotion, and glamour. every woman is a self-feeding energy source, and when she learns how to use that force in her spiritual embodiment, the world opens up to her. the goddess is the result of taking your rose colored glasses off and looking at the raw truth… the violent, terrifying implications of what being a woman out in the world can mean. not trying to change the current state of men as a system, but accepting it and refusing to let it filter how you move about the world. feeling the rage, burning with it. refusing to let it kill your light and allowing it to lead you toward the fountain instead, so you always know where to tap into for more. she is borne out of the lifting of that veil. when that happens, i think it’s natural for most women to start their spiritual journey. seeing past illusions and deconstructing the performance you were systemically taught since you were a child will inevitably open your third eye and have you lighting candles and performing self-adorning rituals, amongst other things. because when the illusion is gone, the goddess is led right back to herself. there is nowhere to go but deeper within. there is no performance to put on, only more experience to feel through; more fun to have, more life to live, more ways to feel complete in solitude, more ways to ritualize care. the goddess is when you become yourself, and that is why she heals our collective feminine wound.
