I made this font at Hollister, which we used a lot around 2011-2013.
We made a lot of our own fonts back then, usually starting with some vintage sample like an old athletic jersey, then creating the missing letters one by one.
That's how I made this one, although I forget what the sample was.
And we never made actual font files.
We placed each letter 1 by 1, so they'd have a little organic variation that you won't get from typing them.
Also, alternate versions of some characters, so that the two L's in HOLLISTER wouldn't look exactly the same.
I'm a big believer in doing things the slow, hard way sometimes because that's often how you get the little details that add up to a product that nobody else can (or will) make.

@tinoamore It’s like convergent evolution, that beat was ahead of its time and has the elements of pluggnb, but it didn’t cause pluggnb to emerge. Like Viper and cloud.
