The next day, Treasury Secretary Bessent told Congress the US had "not engaged in negotiations with China as of yet"
9 days later, he cut tariffs from 145% to 30%
Both stocks have since surged:

• $AMZN is up 4.5%

All three of us who lost in NYC had very progressive records (including supporting Medicare for All) and we all had the overwhelming support of actual working families — labor unions, public housing residents and immigrant communities. That’s because we all have gone to battle for those communities and offered practical and meaningful solutions that could actually get passed in a system that requires bipartisanship.

You completely missed the point. Trump imposed tariffs which American citizens paid (corporations just pass that on to consumers).
When supreme court deemed it illegal, the corporations got the money back not the consumers.
So in case it was not clear the end result is transfer of wealth from consumers to corporations. This happens all the time in our rigged economy but to see it happen in this clownish way is peak Trump incompetency at display

President Trump again called off strikes on Iran—this is a good decision.
It is clear that he wants out of this war, for all the obvious reasons. It is also clear that Iran will not simply return the SOH to how it was before the war.
We need to accept that we can’t use military force to open the SOH (we’ve tried that) without a catastrophic escalation into a bloody, years-long war.
Now is the time for President Trump to pull our troops out of the region. He can declare victory (reiterate the previously stated goal—no nukes—was met) & quietly use the carrot of sanctions relief to open the SOH once our troops are out of harm’s way.
If we stay, we risk accelerating an escalation/retaliation cycle we can’t control.

This clip is over a year old, but since it was made I have been refused entry into the U.S. by the Trump administration.
I traveled there multiple times under the Biden administration through the Visa Waiver Program using ESTA, which almost every Irish person receives easily barring a criminal record.
When I applied for a renewal last summer to visit my friends, I was rejected. I then applied for a tourist visa and attended an embassy interview where an immigration officer read out an SPLC hit piece (an organisation currently under federal criminal prosecution) and asked me if I was an "ethnonationalist" and an "antisemite," then refused my visa.
I know multiple other European patriots who have also been banned from the U.S. since 2024 and have not yet spoken about it publicly. Most of them don't even talk about Israel or Jews, so it seems they are banned solely because of their views on immigration.

I fumbled this line, plane and simple. To be clear, my foreign policy priority is ending Israel’s occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Palestine. I also reject the notion that anti-Zionism is antisemitism, and it’s important that we distinguish the two in order to combat actual antisemitism.
I have always been opposed to any form of ethno-supremacy, and I refuse to vote for any of our tax dollars to go to any government that discriminates on that basis.
I was being asked about rising antisemitism in this interview, and I was trying to say that my concern is while voters across the political spectrum wake up to Israel's atrocities and our government's complicity in it, the Democratic Party is failing to meet this moment. And when the Party refuses to lead morally on this issue, they are letting antisemites on the right co-opt the movement for Palestinian liberation while giving fodder to AIPAC talking points.
But Sana is right, a movement for liberation must center the Palestinians being oppressed, occupied, and systematically exterminated — and the islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism used to justify genocide is too often ignored.
