❗️Defendamos Patagonia❗️
❤️‍🩹 #DarkElRey #PatagoniaLlora #PumaLegendario

Give A Shit About Nature
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
Tim Wong noticed the California pipevine swallowtail butterfly had nearly vanished from San Francisco. So he did something about it. He tracked down the one plant the caterpillars can eat — the California pipevine — got cuttings from the botanical garden, and built a backyard enclosure from scratch. He started with 20 caterpillars and has now raised thousands. Every year since 2012 more butterflies have been spotted flying free in San Francisco. Conservation doesn't require a big organization. It can start in your backyard too. Planting the right native host plants (even in a pot or small patch) is one of the simplest ways to help butterflies like this. What's one native plant you're growing this spring?

A panel referred to as the "God Squad," led by Trump's Interior Secretary, has decided that oil and gas companies can now ignore the Endangered Species Act when drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

Trump has authorized the removal of permits that were put in place to protect endangered species and now workers are allowed to kill these animals so they can drill the oceans for oil. There are only 50 of these whales left in the wild and they may all die because of this. They are trying to find loop holes in the endangered species act to do this and it will result in the deaths of innocent animals and may even lead to an entire species’ extinction. Please contact your representatives and demand action be taken to stop this. These animals do not have a voice to advocate for themselves. We must be their voice and protect our planet. Please share this!!!!!!

There are 50 Rice's whales left alive on Earth. They live nowhere else but the Gulf of Mexico. The admin’s own scientists said *last year* oil & gas drilling would drive the species to extinction. Today, Trump's cabinet removed every protection standing between the oil industry and these animals’ deaths.

Don’t be fooled: people are sharing news that the border wall in Big Bend has been stopped. This isn’t the case. CBP just tweaked its map again, hoping to ease the growing backlash. Contractors could show up with bulldozers and start building a wall through the park tomorrow. The map doesn’t stop a thing. Communities on the ground don’t believe them. You shouldn’t either.

The biggest risk is to the Rice’s whale, with only around 50 left on Earth, found nowhere else. Sea turtles, manatees and other marine life could also be affected.
