everyone is human, everyone makes mistakes, and everyone has their reasons. no one is completely right or wrong, and simplifying it like that ignores a big part of its value

it surprises me how quickly some people reduce everything to black and white when the pitt works so hard to portray the gray. we’re given deep character backstories, and they still choose one side instead of understanding that both have their reasons for acting the way they do
