@1999junayd @ntsikimazwai Pistorius mishandled his pistol and accidentally fired a single round into the floor. He got charged for it for reckless mishandling of a firearm. Malema willingly fired multiple rounds into the air at a public event. Context matters.

@tiaanza @ntsikimazwai I don't think its fine the punishment should be what pistorius was given during the incident at the restaurant. And he wasn't drunk. The punishment for speeding is usually a fine and the punishment for shooting in the air should be consistent with that

Bro it's not the point if no one got hurt - by that logic we should let all drunk drivers cruise around because they haven't hit anyone yet. If you think it's fine to fire live rounds into the air, that's reason number one why you should never be given a firearm. Gun ownership means having extreme discipline over usage of the firearm.

A crime that had no victims and hurt nobody shouldn't get jail time
