What is the FIRST rule/theorem/formula that comes to mind when you think "I don't know why it works, I just memorized it" in regards to math class?

When discussing extraneous solutions and we analyze them graphically, I joke with the Ss and say that one of the algebraic answers looks “sus” because it’s not an intersection on the graph. I love it when they run with the @AmongUs characters on their work. #iteachmath

I'll be honest, as a person who takes medication for anxiety, making math videos gives me MORE anxiety. I know it is impossible to make everyone happy but sometimes seeing negative comments sucks. I just want to help lol.

The longer I teach math, the more I question the system and my place in it.

Yesterday we had a @KaganOnline Rally Robin to build fluency on zero product property. Some of the explanations I heard were far better than mine. #iteachmath through structured interactions.

Team Tutorial Session day! Inspired by @AVID4College, each S at the board is tutored by teammates, and get feedback from T before putting into their notes. It’s great to see Ss taking notes from each other instead of the T. #iteachmath & improve Ss math identity.
