an anonymous british mental patient in the 1950s carved this sculpture using a single apple tree trunk. he committed suicide shortly after, the applewood figure being his only known work of art. it’s a self-portrait entitled “recovery” and he spent months obsessively making it.

Spring 2026

For reference this is what I was working with. I used oil paint and I wasn't satisfied with the progress so I just left it like that.

Bought oil pastels yesterday and I decided to try them out on an old unfinished study from two years ago

I'm back to playing ace attorney investigations because I haven't done so in a good while

Came up with a concept for a character I think shes giving survival horror protag normally bedridden but the suit lets her move around
