Justice Jackson brought up what felt like an elephant in the room most of the 2 hour argument If state post-election mail-in ballot deadlines are preempted by federal law, then why is Congress considering the SAVE Act courthousenews.com/supreme-court-…

Nobody is buying this dumb fucking story about a fire in the laundry room causing damage that will take 12-14 months to repair....they clearly got hit....sailors told told to shut up or face court martial....but it will come out at some point
Kerry Burgess@KerryBurgess

The USS Gerald R. Ford is now out of commission for at least 12-14 months due to that fire caused by a fluff buildup in a tumble dryer....

🚨 Do you understand what just happened.. five minutes before Trump announced he's halting attacks on Iran.. someone bought $1.5 billion in S&P 500 futures and sold $192 million in oil.. five minutes.. not five days.. not five hours.. five minutes.. the trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else hitting the market at that time.. someone knew the exact words the President was going to say before he said them.. and turned that information into the biggest single trade of the day.. they tell you the stock market is a "free and fair market".. that "anyone can build wealth".. that "the system works for everyone".. the system worked for someone today.. five minutes before you even knew what happened.. they already got paid.. this isn't insider trading anymore.. insider trading implies they're hiding it.. this is broad daylight.

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

@JoyceWhiteVance Why is a postmark on a tax return or tax payment considered “filed on time” even if USPS delays final delivery? But not ballots?

Justices Thomas, Gorsuch, and perhaps Barrett have immediately turned this argument into one over ballot harvesting instead of the issue, which is state laws that permit ballots mailed by election day but received within 5 days to be counted.

In the 16th century, the Venetian lawyer Odorico Pillone owned an extensive library, amassed on his family estate near Venice. In the 1580s, he decided to further enhance his collection by decorating sections of pages with various artistic illustrations, books at that time were often simply kept on shelves. The Italian graphic designer and painter Cesare Vecellio (1521–1601), a cousin of Titian, was chosen as the artist. In total, he illustrated 172 volumes. The themes of the illustrations were related to the content of the books themselves (which was convenient, as it made it easy to find a specific topic). According to Pillone, the painted pages transformed the library into a unique art gallery.

the part they left out: these dogs were stolen for the dog meat trade in Jilin, China. Jilin province has 50+ slaughterhouses. they escaped from a moving truck, formed a defensive formation around an injured german shepherd, and a corgi navigated them 17km home over 2 days. they were all neighborhood dogs who played together every day. they all made it back. China still has no national ban on dog meat, but Shenzhen banned it in 2020.

Cannot recommend highly enough that you switch from a defensive “That’s not true about me!” to an offensive “Haha wow you’re bad at reading people”
