It seems the case the above quote-tweet is making is that those listed technologies have non-cheating uses. Does that mean they also have "cheating" uses? Is it possible for a student to "cheat" using Google? Or ChatGPT? Or Calculators?

I'm no stranger to apophatic argumentation. But, it only tells half the story. In order to properly discuss "cheating", we can't only discuss what it isn't. We should explore what it is. So, what say you all? How do you define "cheating" in a k-12 context? #517EdTech #MichED

Using a calculator isn’t cheating. Using spellcheck isn’t cheating. Using Google isn’t cheating. Using audiobooks isn’t cheating. Using #ChatGPT isn’t cheating. Let’s stop trying to catch kids cheating and start creating authentic assignments they won’t want to cheat on.
