Mary's body is in the backseat of James' car covered with a blanket, it's visible through the left window. But there's a very morbid detail about it; Mary's body is in early decomposition and her bodily fluids have seeped through the blanket. James killed her a few days ago and has kept her in the car ever since, this is confirmed in the official SH2 novel. He tries to convince himself she died 3 years ago of her illness, and pretends he can't see her in the backseat.
