Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent
It is very difficult for rats in a sewer pipe to know what’s going on in the outside world. Some color for the Iranian Leadership as they literally sit in the dark: 1. The United States has complete control of the Strait of Hormuz. 2. There is a hard currency, i.e. U.S. dollar, shortage. 3. Food and gasoline rationing are in place. 4. The entire international community has turned against you. 5. The BLOCKADE will continue, until there is pre-February 27 Freedom of Navigation.

The U.S. Navy’s blockade is revealing a hole in Tehran’s strategy of guerrilla warfare and controlling the Strait of Hormuz on.wsj.com/4951PoE

3 days in, no well exploded. We could extend to 30 and livestream the well here. That was the kind of junk advice the US admin gets from people like Bessent who also push the blockade theory and cranked oil up to $120+. Next stop:140. The issue isn't the theory, it's the mindset.

🚨🇮🇷 🇺🇸 Iran has 12 to 22 days of oil storage left, and the deadline is doing the negotiating... That's the most important number in this entire standoff. Iran has been pumping crude with nowhere to ship it since the U.S. blockade began. Storage tanks across Kharg Island and the mainland are nearly full. Once they max out, Iran has to choose between shutting in production or dumping oil at fire-sale prices through whatever shadow fleet vessels can sneak past the blockade. Either option breaks the regime's already battered economy. This explains everything about Iran's proposal. The offer to reopen Hormuz in exchange for lifting the blockade isn't a maximalist negotiating position. It's a desperate move from a country running out of physical space to store its only major export. Tehran has roughly three weeks before the math forces a decision that no diplomatic strategy can prevent. The internal U.S. debate is now playing out openly. Some administration officials are arguing Trump should accept the deal because reopening the Strait is the actual objective and a renewed bombing campaign won't force concessions Iran isn't willing to make anyway. Other officials warn that accepting without nuclear movement undermines the entire war's stated purpose and gives Iran a clean political win. Both sides are right. Reopening Hormuz solves the immediate global economic problem and lets oil prices drop heading into midterms. But walking away with no nuclear concession means 38 days of bombing accomplished none of the strategic objectives that justified the war in the first place. Source: NYT

🚨🇮🇷 🇺🇸 NEW: Iran is reportedly sitting on just 12-22 days of unused oil storage, which puts a hard clock on every move they make at the negotiating table...

@Sincerely_farah @rozpersian we dont support US army terrorism either which are located in your countries in the GCC and they use these bases to kill kids in Iran, so your government is complicit and as much a terrorist as irgc and zionists as you say. once US bases are closed then irgc could be gone too.

@rozpersian First of all Persia had always been helping Jews even before Christianity came so it is not anything new, second of all not everyone against the IRGC must be zionist. Some people simply dont cheer for terrorism whether its in the IRGC form or Zionism form.

I despise Zionism but Iranian/Persian Zionists bother me on an emotional level because how could you be such a traitor? Iranians are raised knowing the importance of humanity and community, you’re from civilisation dating back 7,000-10,000 years and yet your loyalty and personality is consumed by an evil ideology that is only 150 years old? They disgust me to my core because I cannot wrap my head around my own people holding such views. It’s disappointment on another level that I can’t help but feel genuine anger towards it. If you’re a Zionist you lose all right to call yourself an Iranian/Persian.

@JoshuaTomb70033 @Osint613 not several, the other country is oman. just these 2 countries, furthermore, the deep part of the shore is on the iranian side where the tankers and big ships go through usually. turning back the bombs wouldnt solve anything but make it worst.

Iran's ambassador in Cairo listed Iran's red lines in negotiations with the U.S.: 1. No ceasefire based on "neither war nor peace." Iran wants the war ended across the entire region, not just with Iran. 2. Removal of the U.S. naval blockade. 3. No negotiations under threat. 4. Removal of all sanctions on Iran. 5. Release of Iranian assets in the U.S. 6. Full preservation of Iran's nuclear rights. 7. Iran manages the Strait of Hormuz, citing over 1,000 km of Persian Gulf coastline.

@RumanaRichard @TehranTimes79 @araghchi Us and Russia are enemies and not sure what you mean by next gov. A pro US Iran would be a disaster for Russia and will likely make it lose in Ukraine. Iran saved Russia at the time by providing it Shahed drones and licensed manufacturing. Geopolitics ain't for you.

@DeMeglio1991 @Soureh_design2 Many things have changed since mahsa amini, also many hardliners have been killed. But anyways i dont think what the US wants is in Irans interest like no enrichment, missiles and so on. They want the whole thing destroyed so israel remains the regional hegemon.

@Alithebull10 @Soureh_design2 I disagree. Khatami tried and was sidelined. Same with Rouhani. Had Rouhani simply did a photo-op with Trump at the UN, Soleimani wouldn’t have been killed. The stubbornness and close-mindedness of the regime is off the rails… but they shake hands with those genociding Uyghurs

@DeMeglio1991 @Soureh_design2 Well i believe Iran is in motion for major internal reforms, not sure now after this war but i hope it stays the course and does the necessary reforms needed. Killing khamenei was the worst thing, if he died naturally there might have not even been a replacement. Made it worse

@Alithebull10 @Soureh_design2 Fair point about the use of foreign flags and racism, but has the Iranian govt allowed any true opposition to the foundation of Islamic republic to form & protest in Iran and build a native alternative? If they did, those poor souls would be brought to Evin prison and tortured.

@Alithebull10 @Soureh_design2 Many ordinary Iranians who don’t like Pahlavi still hate their government there. I know many of them INSIDE of Iran who hate Pahlavi, MEK and the Khamenei regime, and that’s their right. They want a secular & democratic gov.
