Do I have an ideological issue with oat milk? No. While I find it disgusting, I recognize that it’s totally okay thing for other people to order. However, lately, I’ve been finding that some coffee shops will put it in my drink, even if I explicitly say “whole milk.” I’ll go back and ask them to remake it, and they’ll apologize and say they misheard me, which I understand, as my voice is a little soft. So I’ve started to loudly say “WHOLE MILK” to baristas, even spelling it out so there is no mistake. That’s solved the problem! The above story is real / not a metaphor and is pretty emblematic of my experience with polyamorous people. The only way they will stop trying to date you is if you loudly and explicitly say M-O-N-O-G-A-M-y, and that only works part of the time! I should not ever go on a date with someone and hear that they are polyamorous! And yet it happens! So what should my strategy be?

It's a real problem. I'm actually currently building an app to help men quit/control porn use. Not just vibe coded slop, and with a method based on evidence backed models of recovery. Everybody is whining about that, but it is not about vibe-coded apps; it is about apps for vibe coding. So, fellow Claude and Codex brothers, we are safe.

Nope this is just not true. I AM an engineer who spent thousands of hours learning how to code before AI and yet I love that now people have the ability to make whatever they want without needing to do the same. Is it scary? Yes. But it's still a wonderful advancement in technology and people should be able to use it as much as they want without getting guilt-tripped over it.

The people that give LLMs custom instructions and names and avatars they picked out kinda freak me out like I don't even edit messages because it would violate their autonomy what is the point of a relationship with something you completely control 😶
