@nakedfoul @cyanidetooth To clarify, it's the former. I'm always finding (previously unheard or revisited) music to love but haven't loved any band more than Pixies. It would be so cool if I start loving another one more! Sorry didn't know there was an interpretation of making an objective proclamation

I get that a lot people don’t like Wes Anderson but I’ve seen every film he’s made since Rushmore in the theater first run and I’ve enjoyed every single one, and many of them are great, and at this point it feels like catching up with an old friend. it’s just a great pleasure.

@geoffwilt He still gets great actors but they all do the same "WA performance" vs. (for example) Gene as Royal, he brings his own style into WA's world and that's why that character works so well and is so memorable

@geoffwilt I think the reason for the (sometimes drastic) downturn in quality since the first three is that WA has become an established, defined product and that's affected the performances the actors give in the films.

@cyanidetooth I've noticed the "Sheryl Crow is cool" thing for several years now, and I guess "cool" has just been redefined? Her music is defined by its MOR "grocery store rock" sound, eminently inoffensive and easily ignorable. She's fine but stands for everything that's opposite of cool.
