When we turn the clocks ahead on March 8, it will be the last time change ever for BC. We're changing to a permanent daylight saving time, simply called Pacific Time (PT).

Did not expect to see Stanley Park in @wetlegband's mangetout music video, but it makes sense given they played the Malkin Bowl during a wildfire smoke day last summer. @HarbourAirLtd also gets a cameo! youtu.be/lbc6CcZTp5E?si…

Moonbound soon! Reid, Christina, Jeremy & Vic are living in the @NASA quarantine facility, ready to launch in 9 days.
They have spent years in that simulator behind them, and many similar, inventing how to work through all possible failures. They're the first crew to ever fly the huge SLS rocket, and to pilot the Orion spaceship. They will be the fastest humans in history.
Risking their lives for all who follow, as we start settling on the Moon and beyond.
Artemis 2 will be test-fueled starting tomorrow night, a critical dress rehearsal. If all goes well, launch is 9:41 PM EST on Friday 6 Feb.

@LosTexasDiablo @_mika60_ And I can keep going, but I'd say for a first-time visit, Vancouver or Montreal are wonderful cities. They may as well be in different countries, they feel and look so different. And you can come back on future trips to visit other cities. But nature is what Canada's famous for!
English

@LosTexasDiablo @_mika60_ Montreal is a real cultural hub city, like Berlin meets New York. It has cold long winters but hot humid summers. It has hundreds of years of history in Montreal, and it has a vibrant arts/fashion/restaurant scene. It's international in feel. The main language there is French.
English

@LosTexasDiablo @_mika60_ Should say, Vancouver has a mild climate. We don't get snow in the winter. It has the same climate as Seattle. Summers are dry and warm, spring is gorgeous and long, but winter is rainy.
English

@LosTexasDiablo @_mika60_ It depends on so many factors! Every province has its own different culture and vibe. Vancouver is great for dramatic natural scenery (mountains, rainforest, ocean) as well as Asian culture. Think San Francisco meets Seattle meets Hong Kong.
English

@LosTexasDiablo @_mika60_ It's only cold in the winter! Visit in the summer!

@simonmaechling Hello from Vancouver! I look forward to following along.

Look at that photo of me.
I’m holding something dangerous.
A chemical linked to:
☠️ Cellular damage.
☠️ Corrosion of metal.
☠️ Fatal inhalation injuries.
☠️ Thousands of deaths every year.
It’s called dihydrogen monoxide.
Sounds scary, right?
It’s also called water.
This is how easy it is to create fear with chemistry.
Swap the familiar name for the chemical name → instant panic.
But fear isn’t a substitute for understanding.
Science is.
Water can drown you - but it also keeps you alive. Chlorine can burn you - but it also keeps drinking water safe. Radiation can harm - but it also treats cancer.
Tools aren’t “good” or “bad.”
It’s how we use them.
Marie Curie said it best: “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.”
That’s why I’m here: To replace fear with understanding - one molecule at a time.
