Today we celebrate Dr. Jonathon Guthrie on National School Principals’ Day! Dr. Guthrie has lead Bentonville West High School for 10 years, and recently celebrated 20 years of service in Bentonville Schools. Thank you, Dr. Guthrie!

BWHS Graduation for the class of 2026 is Friday, May 15. There is no limit on how many guests may attend; tickets are not necessary. Please review the information regarding permitted items, clear bag guidelines, and weather information ahead of time and share with guests.

Congratulations to two incredible Wolverine staff members! Ms. Emily Garrison was named Teacher of the Year today, and Ms. Destinee Sherry was named Certified Employee of the Year. Both of these remarkable women work hard to put students first in the classroom and the SLC.

The Wolverine Chess Team won the Eureka Springs Regional Tournament on Saturday, taking first place and locking in a spot for the State Championship in Little Rock later this year. Havish NagaSai Sashank Kunchanapalli also walked away with the trophy for MVP. Congratulations!

Bentonville Schools Foundation has extended the deadline for Student Grants. Student grant applications will be live until Friday, March 6 at midnight. We hope this extra time gives all students who are interested the opportunity to apply for these funds. #whereexcellencelives

Technical Math students toured the Crowder College Advanced Training and Workforce Center in Joplin last week, getting a firsthand look at career pathways, hands-on training, and the skills needed in the workforce, helping to connect classroom learning to real-world futures!

Last week, Ms. Jimi Doty's Intro to Healthcare class had a Valentine's Banquet as part of their nutrition unit. In addition to discussing the nutrients in their food, they learned dining etiquette to include correct utensil use and how to correctly set a table.

BWHS students won the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for AR's 3rd District, announced by @rep_stevewomack, with their AI-powered farming app CropIntel AR. Congrats to these students for creating tech that supports farmers and our community. #wearewest #wherexcellencelives

Composer Soon Hee Newbold came to West along with Joseph Keeney and Carrington Truhart for the Honors Orchestra/Chamber Intensive Clinic on January 22-23. Over 200 6th-12th grade string students participated from across the district. We proud of their hard work!
