They are so scared of being irrelevant because their fans live and breath LSU sports. It literally makes their self esteem plummet when LSU struggles in any sport, they feel like its something that they have accomplished in life when LSU is successful, and 90% of them haven't given a penny or attended that school. Alabama fan's the are the same way. Hillbilly's and Cajuns that haven't accomplished anything notable in life. It's why their fans are so triggered right now, because the football team has sucked the last 5 years.
