Don’t just fall back, fall into safety! Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend, which means you get an extra hour of sleep (finally!). While you’re at it, take a few minutes to check and change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. That extra hour won’t mean much if your alarms don’t work when you need them most. ✅ Test each detector ✅ Replace old batteries ✅ Check expiration dates ✅ Replace smoke alarms every 10 years ✅ Replace CO alarms every 5 to 10 years, depending on the model ✅ Replace alkaline batteries twice a year Sleep easy, stay safe, and enjoy that extra hour. Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue, @AdamsCountySO, and @CSP_News are working a motor vehicle accident at Exit 304 on I-70. A single lane in both eastbound and westbound directions is closed. Expect delays, slow down, and move over for emergency crews.

🚒 Structure Fire – Bennett 🚒 Early this morning crews responded to a structure fire in the 40000 block of E 88th Avenue. Thanks to the quick actions of firefighters, there were no injuries reported. 🐾 In addition, crews safely rescued a kitten from the home. Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue participated in South Metro Fire Rescue’s inaugural three-day Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) certification course at the South Metro Fire Rescue Regional Training Center. This specialized training prepared firefighters to handle aircraft-related emergencies, covering critical rescue techniques, firefighting strategies, and live-fire scenarios. Bennett-Watkins joined firefighters from South Metro and Larkspur Fire Protection District in gaining hands-on experience and state certification, contributing to regional preparedness.
