@BesseIFunction Two things are both true: 1. Engineers should learn how to speak with skill 2. Engineers should learn to LISTEN with skill, taking offense to nothing, mining even poor communication for useful data Many get stuck in, "u shouldn't use mean words i can't hear u now. bye."

The notion that because something is "free" and "open source", it cannot be publicly criticized, is silly. Criticism comes with the territory: you can either man-up or keep your work private.

The first 10 times you hear that something you made sucks, it may sting, but if you give no quarter to insecurity, you will learn to see through their unskilful choice of words (born of frustration) and learn valuable lessons for building better software.

Comfort is a career killer.
