Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved a comprehensive welfare package for personnel of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, aimed at boosting morale and strengthening the operational wellbeing of officers and men of the corps. The State Commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that the welfare measures include the enrollment of Amotekun personnel and their families into the Ondo State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme to improve access to quality healthcare. Operatives will also benefit from the Contributory Pension Scheme, the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), and the existing life insurance policy. In addition, the governor approved the issuance of Warrants of Service Enlistment for officers and personnel of the agency, pending the completion of the necessary legal framework, in recognition of their contributions to security in the state.

As a new Arsenal fan, I am looking to connect with fellow Gunners and build my Arsenal mutuals. If you are proudly pro-Arsenal, drop your handle in the comment section, let’s connect, celebrate the wins, and survive the heartbreak together. 😭😂 #COYG

Peace is not something you find, it is something you choose, through what you allow, what you let go of, and what you give your energy to. Happy Sunday.

Nobody should still be falling victim to petty scammers asking for OTP in 2026. Please take this seriously: if you receive a call from anyone, whether familiar or unfamiliar, requesting an OTP sent to your phone, there is a very high chance you are being targeted by scammers. For those who may not know, OTP (One-Time Password) is a security code used to verify your identity and protect access to your account. Once you share that code, you may unknowingly hand over control of your account to fraudsters. No genuine bank, service provider, or responsible person should ask you to disclose your OTP. Keep it private. Once it leaves your hands, your account security may leave with it.

My name is Oluwatobiloba, a farmer in Kaduna State. This is what I do with my hands in the soil and my heart in the work, I’m building a life I can be proud of. Farming isn’t just for survival, it’s a way to dream bigger, grow stronger, and show that young girls can do anything.

Not every helper in your life will help you with money. Some will give you access, speak your name in rooms you cannot enter, recommend you for opportunities, or simply endorse you when it matters most. Sadly, many people only recognise help when cash is involved. If money is not exchanged, they assume support is not coming from that direction. But real help wears many faces, and sometimes, the opportunities opened for you are worth far more than financial assistance.

Falling out with people is sometimes an inevitable part of life. Never allow anyone to guilt-trip or pressure you with the “don’t burn bridges” narrative when you are fully convinced that a relationship has become harmful through repeated actions and behaviour. Not every connection is worth preserving at the expense of your peace, growth, or wellbeing. When someone consistently shows signs of toxicity choosing distance is not bitterness, it is wisdom. Sometimes, the most dangerous enemies are not the obvious ones, but those who hide behind the face of friendship.

Today, I received a high-powered delegation from Poland led by His Excellency Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, on a courtesy visit to my office. During the discussion, we explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Poland, particularly in the areas of border management, immigration systems, cybersecurity, technology-driven security solutions, and capacity building for our personnel. I assured the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation that Nigeria is open for business and ready to build a solid, sustainable partnership. This aligns with the bold steps taken by the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to improve the ease of doing business, including the unification of exchange rates, while remaining committed to tackling inflation and removing fuel subsidies.

There is a certain energy in a room full of people who have stopped asking whether change is possible and started showing what it looks like. That was the feeling today at the International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) 2026, themed "Reforms, Resilience and Results." Nigeria's public service is no longer debating transformation. It is delivering it. It was an honour to address this distinguished gathering of leaders and public service professionals. The occasion was graced by Honourable Ministers, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, and Heads of Extra-Ministerial Departments, with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. In my remarks, I emphasised that business as usual has no place in 21st-century public service. True transformation begins with clarity on "what is," a clear vision of "what ought to be," and the courage to execute the "how." Building on the reforms we have been driving at the Federal Ministry of Interior since 2023, we have demonstrated that meaningful change is possible. We established a world-class centralised passport personalisation centre in Abuja, the first since 1963, capable of producing thousands of secure passports per hour. We introduced the E-Visa platform, significantly reducing processing times and projecting close to 200,000 approvals this year. Additionally, through the SIMAS (Centralised Interior Management and Administration System), we have integrated border control, visa, and passport systems, creating a robust database of over 220 million records. In our Correctional Centres, strategic skill profiling, academic programmes, and rehabilitation initiatives have reduced recidivism dramatically from 20,000 in 2023 to 1,200 in 2025. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has equally recorded strong results in the fight against illegal mining. These achievements did not come from inherited systems but from deliberate innovation, inter-agency collaboration, and citizen-centred governance. Data, accountability, and digital transformation remain at the heart of our progress. I commend the organisers of ICSC 2026 for providing this important platform for reflection and knowledge sharing. We are not yet where we aspire to be, but by the grace of God, we are no longer where we used to be. In line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Federal Ministry of Interior remains fully committed to delivering efficient, secure, and technology-driven public services that restore trust and build a greater Nigeria.

Politics has a way of teaching hard lessons, especially to those who believe power alone is enough. The situation between Fubara and Wike is a reminder that in politics, loyalty, relationships, patience and good conduct matter just as much as ambition. You may have power today, but politics is bigger than emotions and bigger than temporary influence. Many people watched the back and forth and believed it was just about who could outmuscle the other. But over time, it became clear that arrogance, desperation and ignoring political realities can put anyone in a difficult position. Disagreements in politics are normal, but how you manage them matters. Sometimes, wisdom is knowing when to fight, when to negotiate and when to preserve relationships, especially with those who played major roles in your political journey. Withdrawing may not be an easy decision for Fubara, but politics often humbles people in ways pride never expects. One thing remains true, good behaviour, loyalty and humility may not trend on social media, but they keep doors open. Arrogance and desperation, on the other hand, can ruin years of political goodwill in a very short time. Politics is not just about getting power, it is also about keeping relationships.

The wild jubilation of Arsenal finally winning the Premier League after years says a lot about life. Imagine waiting over two decades for a moment of victory, yet the pain of all those years instantly fades when success finally comes. One win can invalidate many years of pain, just as one disqualification can create many years of regret and consequences. Life has a way of reminding us that moments matter, decisions matter, and timing matters. On a lighter note, I have decided to become an Arsenal fan from today 😂
