@Boongo_15

I actually really like Star Wars.

For the hundredth time, the Sequels have nothing to do with Mando's Box Office performance. The movie is just not good and not interesting enough. Look at other Star Wars stuff. Mandalorian was a big hit and it came out right after TROS. Stop blaming the ST for Disney's mistakes.

Lmao, yall are gonna wait till the date and then some to accept the fact that the sequels are awful movies hated by the fandom for destroying the franchise forever. Make no mistake, mandalorian and grogu movie is feeling the consequences if the sequels today. It fought the absolute hardest battle I've ever seen a movie fight to just break even (which I'm not actually sure it's done yet.)

@Mando3Updates I've been saying this since day one. The decision not to include Boba Fett in this movie was a terrible one. You literally telling a story about Hutts, Mandalorians, and Bounty Hunters. Like what the hell.

Just started rewatching The Clone Wars and there is genuinely no way that Dooku thought he could get away with blatantly assassinating King Katuunko like that

@CaptainLore_ I don't think so. George was always honest with his storytelling. He made what he wanted to make. All these grifters you see nowadays complaining about Disney would probably be VERY dissapointed with his SW movie. They actually think that he would 'respect' the old EU.

@Boongo_15 It wouldn't work because no matter how bad it is people will performatively love it because George made it

Sometimes I wish George Lucas would create a Star Wars show or movie in 2026 so that half the fandom would lose its narrative.

The problem with TLJ is that conceptually it's far more interesting and was aiming to take the sequels in a direction that *could* have been neat, but JJ and Disney just.. said no. AotC kinda wins by virtue of RotS not choking on its own spit.

Yes, Filoni initially didn't want starfighter made and was overruled by Kathleen and Bob Iger. However, he is impressed with how well starfighter has turned out and is willing to keep the story going depending on how it is received.

@TSoS_ I don't want to base my argument on a random tweet, but I share those concerns. But remember, Filoni wanted Hunt for Ben Solo to be made. So maybe it's not a matter of being averse to new things, but rather whether a particular movie deals with themes like the Force and the Jedi.

Giving full creative oversight to a guy who does not want Star Wars to evolve beyond the sandbox of static live-action adaptations of his cartoon characters might be the final nail in this franchise's coffin.

That's my biggest concern. I don't see Filoni as someone who actually wants to explore new territory in Star Wars and move forward. He's not George Lucas. He plays safely with the toys he made 15 years ago. But what's worse, he doesn't let others be creative. I hope I'm wrong.

@RafaelaAlberna3 Same reason he didnt want Andor made; He didn't feel it was the correct direction for the franchise to go.

I would consider myself a diehard, but even I'm not interested in these characters anymore. First, it's been four years. Second, the actors and the script didn't do justice to the characters from the animation. I'm curious to see Rory's performance as Baylan. And that's it.
Knuckle Head@Knuckle_HeadTV

Ahsoka is the show for the diehards. Prequel fans, animation fans and EU fans. They’ll still be invested 4 years later. The question is whether or not it will engage the general audience. People forget Ahsoka S1 was actually pretty good, it just didn’t totally stick the landing.

@ATLFUTURE1 Most Lucas fans aren't really familiar with his work or what he's trying to convey in his films. His films weren't well received at their premieres because people were expecting something different. His SW movie would probably be received worse than the Sequels.

@JustQuippew I wouldn't say bad. Most likely, some fans would be happy about it, since they're actually familiar with his work. But the vast majority of Lucas's defenders and 'true fans' are not ready for that. They would be the first ones to criticize it and complain about it.

It's unreal how similar The Mandalorian and Grogu is to 2008 The Clone Wars movie. Both the pros and the cons.
