This is an absolutely appalling tweet from NZTA. Auckland is facing a brutal storm with motorways blocked all over the place and NZTA comms staff won’t be updating twitter post 8pm. Absolutely unacceptable.

Hey @FlyAirNZ I challenge Greg Foran to try taking 3 kids under 4 through Auckland airport after having to drop the pram off check in! It just doesn’t work! We even had to cue for an hour for oversized baggage to drop off the pram! 🥴🤬

@PeterEd53089889 @FlyAirNZ No need to have a dig. We got there early. Over three hours. The line to stow the pram cost us an hour. And you can’t put a twin pram in overhead! We were doing our best mate!

@BreakfastSam Climate Change isn’t an agenda. In fact the council unanimously supported our climate plan and targets. One of the few things all 21 supported last term. It’s something that’s definitely on the agenda for every city and every country in the world.

The wettest summer, followed by the wettest winter on record, then the wettest November & it’s still raining… You’re going to get more potholes 1. Rain causes potholes. 2. In most cases you can’t fix the potholes until it’s dry. But sure, let’s not talk about climate change.

@RichardHills_ No I’m not trolling. You’re over simplified approach is pathetic. And an excuse. What about lack of maintenance. The increase of traffic on the roads. And about 30 other factors! Climate change is simply an excuse.

@BreakfastSam I feel like you’re trolling now? Maybe the whole time. Unsure. The science says climate change is causing extreme weather & long periods of rain or droughts. Rain causes potholes. You can’t fix them until it’s dry. So more days of rain = more potholes & fewer days to fix them.
