Why is it so hard to keep track of all the online "child safety" bills/enacted laws from U.S. state legislatures? Because there are 144 (A HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR!!!) of them.

It’s totally bonkers.
Even matrilineal groups in the American Southwest had slaves - as indicated by recent digs showing discarded bodies with cranial damage, likely used to pound maize & for sex.

Two things can both be true:
- European invaders killed, raped, pillaged, enslaved, and spread disease, causing millions of deaths and suffering.
- Prior to conquest, there were many wars, human sacrifices, enslavement and rape.
