An Indigenous Albertan asked a question most people won’t:
Why are chiefs meeting with the King of England?
She says his family represents generations of harm to her people.
And yet those same leaders act like it’s an honor.
To her, it’s obvious.
They don’t represent Indigenous people.
They’re paraded out when it’s convenient.
There’s no real accountability.
That’s why she supports Alberta independence
She sees it as a chance to negotiate something fair and not rooted in the same system.

This approach concentrates risk, meaning the national economy—and the wealth of its citizens—is entirely dependent on local political, economic, and technological stability.

@birdbrain1957 @IreneNewstead @MarcNixon24 We were told the budget would balance itself! Canada shoukd be using that money clearing farm land , building pipelines & starting new mining projects
English

@Brothers780709 @IreneNewstead @MarcNixon24 You’re referring to spending, not investing. I’m invested in India as are most Canadians, with a geographically diversified portfolio. This means I can “spend” the profits because I made money “investing”. If I spend first, before making money on my investments, I will go broke.
English

@birdbrain1957 @IreneNewstead @MarcNixon24 The liberals has put Canada over a trillion dollars in debt, invest that 100 billion dollars of Canadian people’s money into Canada if India is so great they don’t need our 100 billion Canada needs it big time
English

@Brothers780709 @IreneNewstead @MarcNixon24 Understand the difference between spending & investing. While we would all love to spend money with wild abandon, we also need to invest for the future. Read about the trade deal. Understand what it is doing for Canada’s economy and future, before criticizing.

English

@birdbrain1957 @IreneNewstead @MarcNixon24 You asked how we would like to see it spent in Canada hospitals schools more mining operations military as long as it’s spent in Canada & not helping build up another country
English

@IreneNewstead @Brothers780709 @MarcNixon24 Building hospitals and healthcare is a provincial responsibility. While there is a program called Canadian Health Transfer (CHT) that provides significant funding to provinces, responsibility for healthcare lies with the provinces.
