Jared McCain on if he has played alongside a big man who can make screening a highlight play like Isaiah Hartenstein: “It’s crazy. When I was in Philly, Joel would do that with Tyrese and I was like ‘Dang, that’s really cool right there.’ So being able to be a part of it is really fun. Playing with Hart, J-Will and Chet, they’re all elite bigs. I’m excited to play with them.”

The Wizards trading for Trae Young + AD and benching them both for the rest of the season is a blatant sign that the NBA Lottery system has failed to stop tanking. I came up with a solution to fix it:

@philliefan215 @SpikeEskin I mean his was also in a blowout, so in all likelihood they pulled him out as soon as he hit 100. Once you hit the arbitrary impressive cutoff number, they take you out of the game. Why bother going for 102 when you have 100.

Okay I’m going to make one comment on the AJ stuff: The Eagles don’t want to trade AJ, they don’t have to trade AJ, and theres actually significant financial reasons for why they shouldn’t trade AJ. So like, if you’re gonna convince them to do it, yeah, it’s gonna take an overpay

At this point it’s obvious that Morey is just completely incapable of thinking beyond “add a top 15 guy or bust”. At a time when roster depth is the biggest focal point in the league, we have a GM who can only star-hunt and head coach who can’t properly utilize a guy like McCain.
