I’m happy to share that I received (and accepted) my official offer of admission to @BiologyUC PhD yesterday! I’m very happy and excited to get started in January!

@SpiritAirlines @SpiritAirlines does NOT care about us. They are still refusing to get us a hotel to stay in after cancelling our flight. We have nowhere to sleep. In DM they are offering to "review" expenses incurred, which they will probably also decline.

@SpiritAirlines We are now being told that “anywhere within the United States” is considered “local” to Columbus Ohio. What??? This is insane.

Not only was the staff unable to help passengers who didn’t speak English, they made no effort to seek outside help for them. @SpiritAirlines, if you’re going to offer international flights to Latin America, you must have resources for Spanish speakers!

Today I served as a translator for @SpiritAirlines After a flight cancellation for an inability to fix a broken part on the plane (yikes), non English speaking passengers were completely uninformed about how to proceed because not a single staff member spoke Spanish.
