Best $6 you’ll ever spend if you haven’t played them. 1 is kind of a slog, but needed for the lore. 2 is absolutely incredible. 3 is the epic conclusion.
As a trilogy, it’s arguably the best story gaming has ever told. And you get to dictate much of the story yourself.

No serious nation in the history of warfare has spent fourteen months insulting its allies, siding with their common enemy, and then knocked on their door expecting them to rescue a catastrophe of its own making.
You abused the UK. Threatened Canada. Tried to grab Greenland. Called the EU an adversary. Praised Putin. Hosted Kremlin officials in the Capitol. Abandoned Ukraine. And did all of it loudly, proudly, and on camera.
And now you are surprised that nobody is returning your calls.
You want European boots on the ground? Start by explaining why America is more aligned with Moscow than with Brussels.

The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation. The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. “Sure, we’re allies…if we approve of who you elected.” Nope. We are not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive. I’m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they aren’t going to like how it changes everything.

@GermanStrands Before TW3, open world games were shallow and repetitive in the content(Skyrim).
For depth of writing and voice acting, one had to turn to linear, narrative driven games.
In Witcher 3, we all realized we could have both.
