do Xbox controllers need a charging dock or can it be charged such as a ps controller by the USB-c? (I use Microsoft mostly so I think it would only make sense to put a gift for that on my throne, just wanted to ask though)

@wobbliestbear Aww dang, okay! for one, thank you for the information, it certainly helps. 2. It's crazy it's $50 cheaper than a PS controller but you have to buy extra stuff which ultimately you might have just gotten the ps controller if you don't have space to have a charging port

@CatsMakeBiscuit I asked my partner. He says all official Xbox controllers by default are double a batteries. You need to buy a play & charge kit separately which is usb-c chargeable. He sent me these pictures.
