@CityPowerJhb Really easy to close calls when you just close unattended calls and close the tickets in the middle of the night so nobody can object without the 1 hour you give them to do so!!!! Unbelievable!

While City Power has put measures in place to mitigate against the impact of extreme whether conditions on our network, we urge customers to play their part in helping us keep the lights on during this inclement weather period.
Our teams will continue to attend to those outstanding outage repairs in different parts of the City, while guarding against post-loadshedding trips.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
Regards
Isaac Mangena, City Power Spokesperson.
Dear City Power Customers
10 July 2023
There has been a worrying increase in the level of electricity demand since morning due to significant drop in temperatures. This has put massive pressure on our network and resources, and we have started seeing a rise in the number of power trips triggered by overcurrent during this evening's peak hours. The implementation of loadshedding Stage 4 by Eskom does not help the situation.
We appeal to customers to reduce consumption and use electricity sparingly to avoid facing outages for lengthier periods in this unforgiving weather condition.
