Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Chief @DanielJohnOates, who will serve as the Interim Chief until a permanent Chief is found. Chief Oates led the Aurora Police Department from 2005 until his retirement in 2014. Welcome back, Chief Oates!

Another senseless act of violence in Uvalde, Texas took the lives of 19 children and a teacher. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their loved ones, and the courageous first responders who responded without hesitation to stop the shooter.

Today we honored the life and legacy of our beloved K9 Jas at the National Police Memorial Week K9 ceremony in Washington DC. Officer Lindsay was also the keynote speaker at the ceremony.

Busy day for Team SPD. We attended the Fishing Rodeo at Daffin Park, Ogeecheeton Community Reunion, Hitch Village Health and Wellness Fair and the anti-violence event at Cann Park.

Today we celebrate all teachers for their hard work and dedication to the students they serve daily. Thank you for everything you do. Team SPD appreciates you! #TeacherAppreciationDay
