Minions & Monsters is easily the best of the standalone Minion movies. My biggest takeaway is that, unlike the previous Minion films that felt geared more toward children, Brian Lynch and Pierre Coffin have made a Minion movie for cinephiles and anyone who has a genuine love and appreciation for film history. There’s a lot to like and admire here. It’s clever, charming, and packed with iconic cinematic references and moments that movie lovers will deeply enjoy. Personally, I still prefer the Despicable Me films because I’ve always connected more with Gru and the three girls than the Minions themselves, but my film-loving heart was full after watching this delightful little movie. #MinionsandMonsters
