Today was one of those days where work had me spinning. Business has been picking up fast, almost too fast in the wrong direction, and we've got some decisions to make about where we want things to go. But the day ended on a high note. We met up with Sierra after her volleyball practice and grabbed a drink at this new place we've been wanting to check out, and the vibe alone had us impressed. It was great to hang out with Bryce during his spring break, but seeing him hit different this time. Watching him move through life as an independent adult, making his own calls, living his own story, fills me with a kind of pride I didn't expect. And seeing him vlog, honestly, that brings me more joy than I can explain. Outside of that, it was a typical busy Monday; restaurant stuff, deliveries, payroll, and a long-overdue oil change. There's something about getting that workout in early that just shifts the whole day. Tiffany and I started the morning right with a walk and a climb up the step; her weekly ritual, and my excuse to rack up the bulk of my steps before noon. After a quick coffee run, we headed to our favorite taco spot for a proper lunch date. Their new location did NOT disappoint. Then it was off to shopping. Logging on to Marathon on a Friday night is the same vibe I got from the early days of Trials - Excited to hop on after work - Can count on friends being on to squad up or run into in the wild - The rush from wins and gut punches from losses. It's really hitting for me.

Saturday started with something I've been putting off: doing my own business taxes for the first time in over 10 years. After last year's five-figure tax bill, I had to get a better handle on where things stand. I aren’t being paid to say this, I aren’t some known entity or a streamer, nobody has a gun to my head, these are just organic feelings from someone who genuinely loves Marathon Honestly I can’t remember the last time that I’ve felt this invested in a game, I’m already thinking about what I’m going to grind for when I get home tomorrow as I work towards maxing every faction, thinking about those zero to hero runs on outpost barely making it to the final exfil having gone in with nothing and came out with thousands worth of gear and that’s just so exciting to me, I feel like I’ve found home on this game the same way that I did with Destiny. It’s the trademark Bungie gunplay and the aesthetic that’s dripping at the seams everywhere you look is hyper stylised and sci-fi, I dig it so much, I’ve never known anything like it. Dear men: My husband walked the outlets with me for 3 hours today. Didn't complain once or RUSH ME. Held my bags while I tired on things & made sure my drink wasn't empty. I shopped!! I got home & took a nap. While I napped, he played his video game for HOURS uninterrupted. Now we are getting ready to go to his favorite brewery so I can buy him beer for his beer fridge. We both got what we wanted & most importantly we got to spend time together. A win is a win.
