I am proud to continue my support of the Gary Sinise Foundation and its mission to honor and serve our nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders and their families.
I will again donate $100 for every strikeout I record during the 2026 season. In an effort to make the most impact possible, I have increased my campaign goal to $150,000. I invite you to join me on my mission to raise money for this amazing cause.
To kick off this campaign, I will personally meet and thank the individual that makes the largest donation between the launch of this campaign and the Pirates home opener on April 3. This individual will be thanked with a batting practice meet and greet and tickets to stay and enjoy a home or away game during the 2026 season.
The meet and greet experience is for a mutually agreeable game date during the 2026 season. In the event that there are multiple donors with tied donation amounts, up to two prizes will be awarded to the first two donors.

Can you believe people don't want their kids coached hard? Parents get upset when their kids get held accountable, held to the highest standard, and pushed to their limits. Too many parents are saving their players from tough coaching or uncomfortable situations. Then they wonder why their kid is soft, mentally weak, and gives in. Let your player go through tough times. Those times will shape the greatest moments of their lives. The more adversity they face the more bulletproof they become!

I believe that to truly become an elite competitor, an athlete needs one or more people in their life to test them:
Physically, Emotionally, and Psychologically - to a level the athlete cannot imagine.
The caveat: That person cannot be your mother or father.

Pitchers: your first opportunities at the collegiate level if you aren’t a starter are probably going to be when a game is out of hand. My first two appearances were when our team was up by 19 and 8 runs, respectively. Come in, attack hitters, collect outs, earn more ops!
