@CoachPsteve Literally the only one that bummed me out. Hate that he had to play out of position. Felt like him and pope just didn’t mesh either. Would have loved to see him kill it here.
English

@Robbiehancock20 Hate it but if that’s where he’s going, he’ll flourish. It fits his style of play.
English

@CoachPsteve I agree 100, he was supposed to develop play 10 mins a game but he is going to be a superstar Alabama be a great fit for him
English

@AJ_Stewart15 Yep! He’ll need to learn PG eventually to play in the league but I hoped he’d get his sea legs at the 2 first.
English

@CoachPsteve Everything I’m reading has him staying in the SEC. Definitely wanted him to work out for the team, I still say it wouldn’t have hurt anything to let him develop at the point guard position. If we’re talking about being prepared for the next level.
English

@Kentuckyfootb14 What he lacks can all be taught. His offensive gifts can’t. I don’t like that ATL league, but I’m not the target audience. He should play for someone who won’t let him sink. And agree w/ the social media take but they’re young and can’t live w/o it 🤷🏾♂️
English

@CoachPsteve I wish the kid well, but right now, I think the best thing for him would be some self realization.
On court IQ is awful. Can’t defend Trent Noah. Can shoot and can be crafty around the rim, but too weak to play around the rim.
Needs a redshirt. 1/2
English

@swilsonpmcnc Fans have always been that way yes, but now social media gives direct access and it’s so much worse. I do agree the majority want to see them do well but the minority will always have too big of a voice and somehow players see those the most 🙄
English

@CoachPsteve But they’ve changed. Fans have always been critical & vocal, but quick to forget mistakes & support the players. We want to see them succeed, especially in-state kids.
Taking a paycheck & walking away reinforces that everyone is a mercenary.
Loyalty is a two way street.
English

@chrisjo40312 Absolutely! But not in the same way his uncle thinks. He was given an opportunity, out of position, which is difficult but did have an opportunity. PG is the hardest spot to just get thrown into but not impossible. Trent has an easier-to-solve issue, I know he’ll be better.
English

@CoachPsteve So do you personally feel Pope treated him any differently then any other player on the team. He gave him opportunity, same as Trent. For the record I like Trent to but he missed so many open shots he was essentially benched.
English

@CoachPsteve I agree 💯. He’s a scorer and can score at will! Switching from “elite basketball” to team college AND learning PG due to injury, that’s tough for anyone.
English

@CoachPsteve Never got a fair shake at it. Would have loved to have him back, but sometimes a fresh start is needed.
English

@swilsonpmcnc The stakes shouldn’t change as far as fans go. There will be criticism everywhere, we know that but I don’t think the fans were his sole reason for leaving, they just didn’t help the situation any.
English

@CoachPsteve Why not come back? He showed flashes but also made a lot of mistakes and took some criticism. That’s life. Especially in the NIL era. Once you start getting paid the stakes change.
Good luck to Johnson but it appears he decided to take the easy way out.
English

@chrisjo40312 Did he tho? He said something and only the guilty should feel slighted. His msg was for those 💩 fans and Pope. Unless he said ALL fans then I’d be offended too but I like Jasper and wanted him to stay.
English

@CoachPsteve IMO his Uncle poisoned the well with the fans. JJ isn't the only highly rated freshman to struggle. I wish him nothing but the best but if they believe other fan bases wont call out poor play, Im not sure what to tell them.
English

@AdamJournalism1 Are those multiple sources legit? How do you know? Consider this part of my due diligence. I’m trying to get sources too. Eh.. I’ve been called worse.
English

@CoachPsteve I confirmed it from multiple resources but nice try smartass
English

@AdamJournalism1 I just read Project Hail Mary. Great read actually. Did you confirm the “insane #” that CC asked for? Or did you just see the same number in 2 tweets and that’s what you went with?
English

@CoachPsteve You need to do some reading. CC asked for an insane # and we declined. Pretty straight forward and takes 5 seconds to search on X
English

@mish43 His overall production is definitely replaceable, yes but think about time/score/momentum.. he made plenty of clutch plays that won us games. The impact of those plays won’t always show in the stats sheet but that also cant be a reason we overpay.
English

@CoachPsteve I know if I got a guy on my team with that kind of pct, he’s getting 8-10 looks a game minimum. He was a 3pt make or fast break dunk option. I would have liked him to stay, but very replaceable
English

@mish43 Depends on the system. How many shots per game? Is he a primary scorer or is he a floor spacer? 41% is pretty good from 3.
English

@CoachPsteve Should a starting SG who shoots 41 pct from three avg more than 9.7ppg?
English

@CoachPsteve @vaughtsviews26 How many scenes with players placed in the restrooms would we see?
