This Cubs team is driving me nuts but I'm not gonna stop watching and hoping that maybe, just maybe this team will get it together or going to the occasional game when my kids' schedules allow me to because like what else would I do?
@JonJon109338@BleacherJeff It’s all starts with lost of their entire rotation. Rosters are not constructed to withstand that. Hitters see that and know they need to score early and pressing. Then when losing they are pressing twice as much. Domino effect of baseball.
This is bad. Injuries have killed our starting pitching, hitting is streaky at best, nothing is lining up, the games we hit, we can't pitch, etc.
At this point I think it's pressing. Everyone trying to force it, and failing, and not having fun. The cubs win when baseball is fun
@CoachWillPower1@thescorechicago Yes I’m sure Craig hasn’t tried talking to the players during this stretch. I’m also sure the players are nonstop looking for coaching and don’t do any thinking themselves or know what to do. What is Jed supposed to do this is the team not much can be done til the deadline.
Craig Counsell on struggling Cubs: "You know it's going to get better. I do believe in a lot of the things our hitters are trying to do. You don't always get what you want the day you ... start it.
"Our guys are going to get it. And our hitters are going to get it."
@jblume07@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS THAT IT ! You figured it out Jblume !!! You did it !
Craig try changing the order (for the 67th time)…. I’m certain the that will fix everything!
@Philly_Hotdog@thescorechicago Well …
1. I’m not a MLB manager making 8mil a year.
2. But to start with sitting down with every single player coaching em as well as motivating them however best works for that individual etc etc
3. Working with Jed saying they need help
Not just hoping things get better
@bleacherbum099 It’s weird how in one tweet it feels like you’re arguing with yourself. Cubs should fire a hitting coach it’s insane they haven’t….while also basically saying it wouldn’t make a difference and just be a scapegoat firing
Let us know where you land on this ?
@Rematch727@bleacherbum099 Unless your whole rotation is hurt then thats certainly needs to be acknowledged. Essentially it’s why the Cubs suck. Does it impact the offense yes indirectly it does. They know their starters are out. They are pressing to get out to a lead. Then are falling being and pressing
@culturecanceler Baseball just doesn’t (normally with that way). Basketball you have one mega star and you’re great for his career. Baseball you need to restock every single year and need a strong farm system to supplement thru trades or call up. (Cubs have been HORRIBLE in both )
@ChiCity3451 I mean… the only explanation I would accept from those people is if they live in Indiana or South East of Chicago. Meaning 5-10-15 min drive to the games. Me personally that still wouldn’t be enough but Id get it
There’s this weird subset of Bears fans on here who are actively rooting for the team to move to Indiana and they are probably the weirdest group of people I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with in my entire life
According to sources: the Chicago Bears are looking at a potential second site just south of the Lost Marsh area on Sheffield Ave. It would require the purchasing of business(es) currently occupied. Considered a better long-term site. #DaBears
@WatchMarquee Thank you Jed Hoyer for putting together the worst team in baseball. Hoyer believes Colin Rea is a great pitcher. There is no talent on team. They don’t deserve one all star.
@R3804J@courtney883 Not even a Sox fan but honestly don’t over think these games. Sox seem to almost for certain to be a contender in the Central. Still very young gonna have a few ups and downs the next 100 games. Just enjoy the ride and see where they land at game 162 ?
@PackersRunNFC Ill be curious to see year 2 Caleb in ben johnson scheme. Does he take any steps forward or is it still gimmicky big plays on luck scrambles. He was running for his life against the parsons-less defense and just somehow had prayers answered
Caleb Williams is simply a highlight QB, not an efficient QB.
2025 Stats:
- 58.1% completion percentage
- 6.9 yards per attempt
- 90.1 passer rating
His 58.1% completion rate was one of the lowest among starting QBs.
His QBR ranked 16th despite being surrounded by significantly more talent than most young QBs.
