One of the major reasons why E-commerce in Nigeria never works is that they're all doing everything wrong; they all try to run it like the U.S. market, which is why it flops. To run a successful e-commerce business in Nigeria, you will need to understand the Nigerian local market. I have been in the local market for more than 13 years, from managing a multi-million naira business to running mine, and here are some of the issues these e-commerce platforms don't tackle properly: 1. Time factor: How fast can I get my order? Not everyone can wait and not every order should take 3 - 7 days, because 1a. Some orders are more urgent, 1b. Certain people get anxiety from waiting for their orders and as a result of this, they decline buying online. 2. Assurance: If any issue arises how can it be resolved and how fast? Taking 10 working days to cancel/refund a user for an order (especially a pending order not yet processed) is a terrific way to handle a business. 3. Trust: Will I get exactly what I ordered? This one is very important, and it's one of the major reasons why most people don't shop online, it's why most people prefer to see what they want to buy before paying thereby choosing offline over online, and any e-commerce that can't fix this will still fail like the others. Every e-commerce tries to chase more customers, but fails at retaining the previous customers, I understand the chase for more customers (businesses are a numbers game), but what they fail to understand is that if you satisfy the current customers, they will get you more customers through word-of-mouth, and these customers will be more reliable than those gotten through ad campaigns. So instead of wasting millions on ads, reinvest those funds into improving the services rendered to them, improve the quality of products, delivery times, and resolve issues faster and more transparent, instead of vague responses such as "10-day refund is the company's policy" explain to them why. Conclusion: Though, I understand why some of these issues are there, especially issue 1 which is a result of the logistics problem, I still believe that any e-commerce company that can solve at least issues 1 and 3, will conquer the market. One commerce organization I'm betting on is Atreos (Bokku) because they're very positioned to solve issues 1 and 3, (I made a tweet about them some time ago), and if they step into e-commerce, every other e-commerce company will shut down.

Nigerian fintechs spent years building for an e-commerce boom that never came. Paystack, Flutterwave, OPay all launched online marketplaces. Every single one flopped or got quietly abandoned. Those failures set the stage for something bigger

Everything we've built for auth on the web assumes two kinds of actors: a human user and a static application, with predefined scopes and known execution paths. Agents fit neither role. They act on behalf of a user or entirely on their own, call external services, discover tools at runtime, need one capability now and a different one later, and often run long after the human who started them has moved on. Agent Auth makes the runtime agent a first-class principal. Each agent is registered with its own identity, granted specific capabilities, and governed by a lifecycle the server controls. The server sees exactly which agent is acting, what it is authorized to do, and can terminate one without affecting anything else. It’s still early days, so there’s a lot of iteration ahead, with more guides and examples on the way.

@FearedBuck People saying the 27-year-old guy is lying are funny, when I was 22 a girl literally told me she doesn't "date married men", meanwhile I was only 22 and unmarried.

@lollypeezle The moment the guy mentioned she took alcohol, I understood what was going on because I have experienced this, I once dated a girl who becomes wild whenever she drank alcohol (even if it was N100 sachet gin)😆.

Shipped something I’m SO proud of today!! :') I built our first @Oracle LiveLab with embedded FreeSQL worksheets, focused on JSON Relational Duality Views in @OracleDatabase 26ai. You can build duality views, run CRUD via JSON docs, and query nested data, all instantly in the browser 🔥 Try it out here: livelabs.oracle.com/ords/dbpm/r/li…

I don’t know about you, but I’ll never prefer designing by firing prompts like a machine gun. I want to draw rectangles, tweak bezier curves, and polish gradients and radiuses for hours. That’s the craft I fell in love with. 🫠

We can't keep waiting for the world to bring industrial automation to Nigeria. We have to start building it ourselves. After 300+ hours of non-stop fabrication, spending more than 5kg in material, and gathering hundreds of individual components, this is the foundation of a 6-axis robotic arm built entirely from scratch. They say hardware is hard. Doing it here is even harder. But holding the pieces of what this could become is a feeling I can't quite describe. Let's see if all the math was right. Assembly begins tomorrow.

I’m planning to build four robots in 2026. 1 Something for the kids (ok, me)- maybe a bigger spider bot 2 Some automation mechanism like a conveyor system because mechatronics 3 Something inspired by human anatomy 4 The main project for the year, an industrial grade robotic arm
