It was an honour to represent @StandWCrypto_UK at @ColuxChain 2026 yesterday in @UniversityLeeds. There were so many interesting presentations on agentic AI, community building and more, as well as so many engaging conversations before, during and after (in a pub). It was also great to close the event with a speech focusing on debanking and the past, present and future of crypto, bringing in examples from @CryptoKitties, @kula_dao, @WorldMobileTeam and @fuseenergy. A few key takeaways (not exhaustive): 💡 RWAs, DePINs, AI are hot but need compelling storytelling and a new approach to decentralised tech to scale. 💡 Keep blockchain in the background, it doesn't need to be understood by everyone. 💡 Debanking in crypto is still real for businesses and individuals. 💡 Lots of builders in the North that want local community. Had a great time at a recent blockchain event hosted by @ColuxChain at Leeds University Union. Really impressed by the quality of the event and the people in the room. If you’re based in Leeds and interested in blockchain development or quantitative finance, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on what they’re doing. Always refreshing to connect with others in the industry who are building, thinking long-term, and focused on real innovation. Looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely honoured to be speaking at @ColuxChain 2026 at @UniversityLeeds, my alma mater, on behalf of @StandWCrypto_UK Almost 10 years ago, I cofounded the UK's first crypto and blockchain society for undergrads at this uni, which went on to run for a long while after I left. My single mission: inspire the next gen to restart the society and the pipeline that got me and many of my peers into crypto. LFG

Super excited to have @TheDePINCat speaking at ColuxChain 26 next Friday! In crypto since 2013 and with experience across RWA, DePIN and DeFI, Emmanuel was the co-founder of @UniversityLeeds Crypto & Blockchain Society. He recently became a @StandWCrypto_UK Ambassador and is Community & Social Lead at Kula, a private equity firm that invests in blockchain projects. Emmanuel will be delivering a talk on the future of crypto in the UK.

Had an incredible time at a Web3 crypto meetup in Leeds and it completely changed how I see these events. No long talks. No pressure. Just people with the same passion for crypto, good conversations, drinks, games, and real connections. After spending so much time in Web3 talking to pfps, meeting face to face hits different. The energy, the diversity of people, the mix of experience… it just works. Not going to lie I was a bit nervous going alone. But once you’re there, it’s easy. Everyone’s open, and conversations flow whether it’s crypto or just life. Big respect to the team building this community and pushing something bigger with ColuxChain bringing Web3 events beyond London and putting Yorkshire on the map.
