There’s somewhat of a chance Allen could be the BPA at 20, but that would include Terrell, Mesidor, McNeil-Warren, Ponds, McCoy, Howell all being gone for me and that’s just not gonna happen.

Rodriguez, Trotter, Elliott on day two > Allen on day one (and I like Allen more than most!)

The Cowboys would be wise to not overdraft a linebacker because they did nothing to fix the position in free agency.

@BryanBastin He kills it at the pro day I’m in. No idea why he’s being referred to as a redshirt. If he performs well at the pro day he’ll be ready to rock in camp.

I have no idea why there isn’t more talk surrounding the Cowboys taking Akheem Mesidor with the 12th overall pick. Older prospect that had a foot injury in 2023, but has dominated as a pass rusher every season of his career from West Virginia to Miami.

@Marcus_Mosher Yeah I mean I just see guys who play in the national championship all the time elect to give themselves more time to prepare for it all after getting their bodies right after a long season. My biggest issue is the age, but in the middle of a iffy draft give me the talent

@ConnorNFLDraft I don’t disagree. But it’s hard when guys like Bailey, Howell, Lawrence all tested AND are all younger.

@Marcus_Mosher But like 60% of the combine opted out of testing. We’re seeing more and more players just do the pro day in the last 2-3 years.

@ConnorNFLDraft He only had one season with 11+ TFLs. Plus the age and injury history. And I don’t think it helped his stock that he skipped all of the combine testing. Just completely nuked all of his steam.

@JohnOwning I just think the age thing makes sense in the top 5 & it’d be different if the foot thing was last year or the year before where you never got a full sample size of him bouncing back.

@ConnorNFLDraft to be fair, for having no idea, you gave the 2 reasons why many would pass on him at 12 haha (I love Mesidor though, and you won't have any complaints from me)

This isn’t a “red-shirt” situation. We’ve watched the guy dominate for 2 years since the injury. If you get 6-7 years of pro-bowl level play it’s well worth the investment. Especially in a “meh” class.
