My British grandmother, Cora Amelia Robinson, was an important part of my childhood. She was very strict, but also kind and I could always count on her. @LinnetsUpdates At the U7 tournament I was at today they disallowed any direct goals from "kick ins" Still ridiculous though teams loading the box from what should be a throw in from next to their own corner flag.

kick ins because the kids who have a good kick just use it as a chance to shoot from miles out, and 3 kids get absolutely smashed in the face full pelt from 5 yards out. One of footballs many terrible ideas.

I’m amazed that anyone thinks this is a good idea. Having spent 3 years teaching kids from 4yo how to take throw ins we now have to rip it up to teach them something that doesn’t exist in proper footy. We’ve done it in 2 matches so far. I’ve seen 5 goals scored directly from
