It takes many people ( i.e. geologists, engineers, technicians, consultants, managers, ...) to advance a mining project through feasibility. In many cases, it only takes 3 to 5 smart and motivated anti-mining people to kill it.

@karstic @KJKLtd In my region people will try to block a 1 hectare solar field where there’s an existing wheat field. Not even the best community relations can convince some people of digging a huge hole in the ground, even if it creates 1000 jobs and pays 500M$ in taxes

@Kr1stikicks @njoybetz In a good uni… None… In a good employer… none (but with wages for your efforts)… in a sloppy uni/employer… Who knows. Choose wisely. Academia isn’t required/essential so, if the right team don’t offer you a role, don’t force yourself through it.

@njoybetz Quit in year 4 after writing an approved thesis and completing all lab/field work… when the university asked me to pay £7k to submit it 😂 Told them to go F themselves, and went to get a real paying job. Academia is just a transition space. Get through it, get out.

It’s easy to spot the hoppers for those who know a little geochemistry and saw their names on weed newsletters, a real dangerous minefield for generalists and newcomers 😂

@duediligenceguy They’ve been there for years, have met plenty of battery chemists and tech developers at mining shows before who’re working with major car cos… They are very unlikely to have a ‘Ford’ business card as all the work is delegated out to consultancies and other groups 😂

We also give the generic address to service providers.

Friday thoughts: Recently emailed inquiry to a jr mining co. Was shocked when the CEO provided a thorough response within 2 hours. Seeing others like @YukonBrandon active on social media, clearly I don’t inquire often enough. Do you? Do quick responses change conviction lvl?
