We have published from the @LaheyHospital lung cancer screening program a 0.95% invasive procedure (Dx or Tx) rate in patients without cancer with 0.36% grade III or higher complication rate. Lung Cancer Screening is SAFE!

A new report once again focuses on the "complications" of lung cancer screening. In total, they found the rate of major complications for people WITHOUT lung cancer = 0.07%. So, why didn't the authors highlight this statistic in the conclusion? 1/🧵 acpjournals.org/doi/epdf/10.73…
