28 Squadron and RAF Regiment today deployed to assist the active presence of insurgency in the Falkland Islands. The Chinook was deployed and gunned by a member of RAFR.

1 Squadron and 34 Squadron of RAF Regiment today were seen at the Falkland Islands checkpoint as there was a high threat warning due to the suspicion of a high number of insurgent forces. RAF Regiment did an excellent job at defending the islands.

Today, 28 Squadron of No2 Group RAF hosted their first AW109 pilot qualification selection in a long time. The AW109 is used for dominantly Royal Transport or is used for general transport. Only the best of the best can be selected to fly this 'elite' helicopter.

Today - 28 Squadron, 70 Squadron and the RAF Regiment of the No2 Group RAF; hosted a joint-training with the appearance of the Apache, Chinook, C-130 and Various RAFR Vehicles.
