A first-year bachelor's student in engineering at the University of Liège,  Loris Bigatton,  came to my office at the beginning of the summer holidays, telling me that he would like to be hired as an intern in the research group. I was hesitating because I usually do not hire research students before their third year bachelor's studies. But I accepted and he did the impossible: writing a very high-quality research paper in just three months - at 19 years old!
