An arborist, an anthropologist, and a Comanche tribal officer created this book. A genuine marker tree is a rare find—only 6 of these cultural treasures have been officially documented in Texas and recognized by the Comanche Nation. All six are located in Dallas County.

Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation
Mr. John Thomas, formerly a Pullman Porter, served as a Church Custodian from 1924 to 1959. This artwork is offered as a reparation for the racial discrimination he experienced in his career at Broadway. The portrait will have a permanent and prominent placement in the church.
