Recently had the pleasure of participating in a live discussion about safe and risky online behaviors on the BTC Podcast in Botswana. Hosted by Kedi Molosiwa, I was joined, in the discussion by fellow cybersecurity awareness advocate Ms Segametsi Mafa from Service Xcellence.

3/3 A deeper understanding of cyber risks and threats is crucial for leaders—whether at national, regional, or organisational levels—to set the tone, make informed strategic decisions, and take appropriate actions to enhance cybersecurity.

1/3 The inaugural Cybersecurity Indaba was a great success, and I’m honored to have been part of it. I had the opportunity to express my strong belief in the urgent need to intensify cybersecurity awareness efforts across all levels of society to effectively combat cyber threats.

2/3 In particular, I emphasised the importance of targeted awareness, not just at the user level but also among decision-makers.

Had a fantastic time engaging with participants at the South African Internet Governance Forum, hosted by @dotZADNA. I was impressed by the interest of participants in cyberpsychology, and I am glad I left quite a number inspired to pursue studies in the field. @Afrocybersmart
