We're going into the double-overtime ... because of the massive amount of public comment against the RV Park, the Planning Commission is adjourned their meeting at 10PM and will continue with the reading of public comment at their next meeting on Jan 5.

The Planning Commission meeting goes into overtime tonight at 7PM. Staff will continue reading the 200 letters that were submitted and then vote on whether or not to recommend the RV project to the Board of Supervisors . You can watch live here: regionalwebtv.com/spotsypc

Roughly 20 football fields. That's a lot of concrete. What happens when this RV Park fails? How is this property restored and repurposed?

What kind of stress will the proposed 300 RVs add to EMS, Fire, Police, and Medical? This is a Spotsy development, but where will help come from? Spotsy, Orange, Louisa?

The proposed RV park site & surrounding area sits on volcanic Ellisville pluton -12 miles deep. There is not a known aquifer, so when you drill, you are tapping into a fissure in the pluton. The surrounding neighbors are at serious risk of being left high and dry.

"Four Seasons at Lake Anna" RV Resort might want to consider a name change. May we suggest "Two-ish Seasons at Lake Anna"? The VDH has issued their first no-swim advisory roughly 2 weeks earlier each year since 2018, our prediction is a no-swim advisory issued by mid-June.

The proposed RV park site is seriously shallow. Good luck docking your boat at one of the 49 docks without running aground. There's no way they can do this without dredging up 50 years of HAB-feeding sediment loaded with phosphorus and nitrogen.

A gray water tank in a Class A RV will hold between 40 and 65 gallons. The black tank in a Class A RV has an average capacity for 30 to 50 gallons. Multiply that by 300 RVs heading over to the RV Park septic dumping area on their way in and out of this proposed development.

You roll up to the Four Seasons RV Resort on Lake Anna with the dogs & the kids. You walk to the water to find a green swampy mess with a sign saying the Va Department of Health has issued a No Swim Advisory. LOL ... those are going to be some messed up Yelp reviews.

We know that Phosphorus + Nitrogen + Sunlight = Harmful Algae Blooms. Will the AOSS (alternative onsite sewage system) for the proposed RV Park be required to remove phosphorus? We think not.

@TheCV Citizens are ready to Defend Lake Anna from this reckless development proposed on the shallow waters of the Upper Pamunkey. That area has been under a no-swim advisory since early July. The advisory hasn't been lifted yet. Who puts a 300 RV park in the middle of a HAB disaster?
