Delta Utilities employees, family, and friends had a blast at multiple Touch-A-Truck events this month across Mississippi and Louisiana! 🚚 Kids of all ages got the chance to explore life-sized vehicles, including Delta Utilities trucks, and meet the people who help keep their communities running safely every day. From climbing into the driver’s seat to chatting with our team, these events were full of excitement, curiosity, and hands-on fun. Delta Utilities had a great time celebrating Mardi Gras Hockey Night with the Shreveport Mudbugs! As the Corporate Sponsor for the evening, more than 140 Delta Utilities employees and their family members packed the arena to cheer on the Mudbugs and enjoy the festive Mardi Gras atmosphere. The fun didn’t stop in the stands though as eight Delta Utilities employees took to the ice during intermission games, bringing plenty of excitement to the crowd. A special moment of the night came when Robert Westfall, Director of Gas Operations in Shreveport, had the honor of dropping the ceremonial puck to kick off the game. During the second intermission Mardi Gras parade, our team rolled through the rink with a shopping cart float, tossing Delta Utilities swag and other goodies to fans along the way. Events like this help us stay connected with our employees and with the communities we’re proud to serve. Please join us in congratulating Delta Utilities employee Mariana Manchester, who was named a 2026 Women in STEM honoree at the American Heart Association - Louisiana's Go Red for Women Luncheon. The recognition is awarded to six women who have made significant contributions in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. As a planning engineer, Mariana is passionate about inspiring the next generation. Through outreach at local schools, she introduces K–5 students to engineering by teaching a lesson and guiding them through a hands-on activity where they can apply what they learned. Her goal is to help students connect what they learn to the real world while also strengthening important literacy skills like listening, understanding, and sharing their ideas. Congratulations to Mariana and all of the incredible women recognized for their contributions and commitment to their communities! ❤️ Since 2004, Go Red for Women has worked to address awareness and clinical care gaps surrounding women’s greatest health threat — cardiovascular disease.
