“Georges Beaupré studied at Ecole des beaux-arts in Québec and at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich, before joining Paul Arthur Associates in Ottawa. In 1965 he was a member of the Canadian Government Exhibition Commission Team of Graphic designers, then spent four years as Art Director with the advertising service of the National Film Board, Montreal. From 1976-79 has been graphics director with Québec Ministry of Communications. Headed his own agency from 1970 to 1975 and again since 1980. “Juan Carlos Distéfano studied at the Escuela Industrial de Artes Graficas and at Academia de Bellas Artes from 1951-54. After further studies in Italy he worked from 1957-59 for several advertising agencies. From 1961-71 he was Director of the Torcuato Dị Tella Institute Graphic Design Center and in 1973 he became Director of the Design Area in the Mass Communication, Art and Technology Research Center of the Buenos Aires Municipality. In that same year he was an instructor at the Buenos Aires University. “Milan Grygar studied under Emil Filla at the Academy of Industrial Art, Prague. Freelance since 1950, including advertising work, posters, illustration, painting and typography. Engaged since 1965 in experiments linking drawing and sound. Record 'acoustical drawing' brought out by Supraphon in 1969 and in 1976 and film Black. White-Counterpoints produced in 1971. Six one-man exhibitions in Prague since 1959, in Düsseldorf and Dortmund in 1969, in Brno in 1970, and in Oldenburg. Participant in the Los Angeles International Art Festival in 1965 and the Contemporary Czechoslovak Art Show in Turin in 1967. Has also taken part in biennales IN Warsaw, Brno, Florence and Bradford. Won prize for poster in Brno in 1970 and awards from publishing houses in 1968, 1969 and 1974.
